Description

DermActiv is an innovative product on the veterinary market. Thanks to the combination of many beneficial substances it supports the proper functioning of skin and coat and ensures its healthy appearance.

The composition of the product has been precisely designed on the basis of availabl e scientific literature and is based on fatty acids (EPA, DHA, GLA) from two sources: fish oil and borage oil, vitamins (A, E, B-Complex), minerals (zinc, iron), amino acids (L-methionine and L-cysteine) and plant extracts (lavender, field horsetail, thistle, nettle, wild pansy, chaste).

Omega-3 fatty acids (source of EPA and DHA) – have an influence on correct skin hydration and show favourable effects in case of skin changes induced by UV radiation. EPA and DHA acids significantly reduce pro-inflammatory substances secreted under the influence of ultraviolet light. They have a protective effect, reduce the effects of sunburn, support repair processes and soothe irritation. Their deficiency causes that the natural immunity of the skin is significantly weakened.

Microencapsulated borage oil (sources of GLA) – has a positive effect on skin hydration, elasticity, density, roughness and resistance to fatigue. The deficiency of y-linolenic acid is associated with the occurrence of many skin conditions, including excessive dryness.

Horsetail extract – contains flavonoids and silicon compounds that nourish and regenerate the animal’s skin. Horsetail accelerates wound healing and protects against excessive hair loss. It cleanses the skin, strengthens the epidermal layer and helps healing minor skin injuries.

Nettle extract – helps to combat alopecia in domesticated animals. It shows antagonistic activity against histamine – a pro-inflammatory mediator.

Milk thistle extract (80% silymarin) – has antioxidant and detoxifying effects. Silymarin influences the quantitative and qualitative composition of sebum and slows down the process of keratinization of sebaceous glands and epidermis. It also protects the skin against UV radiation.

Vitamins A and E – fat-soluble vitamins, which are natural antioxidants that slow down the skin aging process. They also prevent excessive dryness and keratinization (keratosis) of the skin and affect faster regeneration of the epidermis.

Complex of group B vitamins – supports wound healing process, ensures proper skin hydration and protects against skin disorders such as  seborrhoea and alopecia.

Zinc (in the form of amino acid chelate) – has a significant impact on the condition and appearance of skin and hair. It is mainly used in fighting  skin changes occurring in dogs with hypothyroidism.

Iron (in the form of amino acid chelate) – prevents hair loss and skin keratosis. It is necessary for proper building of skin, hair and claws.

L-cysteine – ensures healthy skin appearance. It protects the skin against negative effects of UV radiation, participates in production of collagen, improves skin elasticity and structure.

L-methionine – sulphur amino acid which supports the processes of regeneration of connective tissue and accelerates hair growth.

USAGE:
Recommended daily amount of the product to be given with the animal feed is 1 capsule per 20 kg of its body weight. For smaller animals, divide the contents of the capsule proportionally and mix with dry or wet feed, a treat or water. The product is available in the form of openable capsules with the use of innovative micro-encapsulation technology. The recommended daily portion can be spread over several meals.
