RECOMMENDATION OF USE:
L-carnitine plays an important role in fat metabolism. It transports long-chain fatty acids from the cytosol to the mitochondria, where they are oxidised, result ting in the production of energy. Disturbances in carnitine metabolism can have an adverse e ect on the energy supply to cells. In addition, carnitine participates in the metabolism of branched-chain amino acids, acetylcholine biosynthesis and detoxi cation processes. It is a substance with antioxidant properties.
