Description

Flora Defense is containing pure Saccharomyces cerevisiae var boulardii yeast cultures and lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus rhamnosus as well as a prebiotic (oligofructose).

Saccharomyces cerevisiae var boulardii – exhibits natural resistance to antibiotics, with the exception of some quinolones and antifungal drugs. This yeast is not digested in the digestive tract.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus – through the production of lactic acid, it lowers the pH in the gut, thus inhibiting pathogenic microorganisms development. Lactobacillus rhamnosus has the ability to inhibit colonization of the dogs gastrointestinal membrane by Clostridium perfringens (effectiveness reaching up to 80%).

The Lactobacillus rhamnosus metabolites stimulate local as well as general body immunity. After the enrichment of diets in the above microbial strain they were found to increase insulin sensitivity of cellular receptors and promotes more effective body weight loss, which indicates the possibility of using Lactobacillus rhamnosus during slimming. In addition, in recipients receiving the Lactobacillus rhamnosus in their diets a higher concentration of GABA has been demonstrated – a neurotransmitter mitigating mood disorders and decreasing the level anxiety.

USAGE:
Recommended daily amount of the product to be given with the animal feed according to its body weight:

• < 20 kg – 1 capsule
• 20-40 kg – 2 capsules
• > 40 kg – 3 capsules

Product is in the form of openable capsules. It is recommended to mix product with kibble, wet feed or water. Recommended daily amount can
be divided into a couple of smaller portions during the day.

The product can be used simultaneously with antibiotics.
