Description

Plaque Control is a product containing natural brown algae (Ascophyllum nodosum) that have been demonstrated to have a very beneficial effect on animal health, due to a very high content of vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids. The product composition is completed with green tea extract.

Brown algae regulate digestion, boost the immunity of the organism, improve the quality of the coat, support regeneration of the nervous system and helps to remove toxins coming from heavy metals. Regular administration of algae helps reduce the deposition of bacterial plaque, this way being a perfect prevention against tartar.

The brown algae included in Plaque Control contain three groups of substances that prevent accumulation of the bacterial plaque:
1. Phenols, iodine and phosphates.
2. High fucoidan content (10-15%), a source of sulphur which hinders the adhesion of bacteria to the pellicle.
3. Zinc, silicates and sulphites, increasing the sulphur content in the saliva and making it capable of binding calcium.

It has been shown that the brown algae (Ascophyllum nodosum) changes the properties of saliva, inhibiting the deposition of plaque and its calcification into tartar, at the same time reducing the total number of bacteria residing in the oral cavity, and thus preventing bad breath. Once the algae are swallowed, their active substances migrate from the gastro-intestinal tract to the bloodstream, changing the composition of the saliva in such a way that it helps change the structure of tartar and prevents the deposition of bacterial plaque on teeth.

USAGE:
Recommended daily amount of the product to be given with the animal feed according to its body weight:

• Small animals up to 20 kg – 1 flat scoop
• Dogs of large and giant breeds above 20 kg – 2 flat scoops

It is recommended to mix product with kibble, wet feed or water. The recommended daily amount can be divided into a couple of smaller portions during the day.
